Adobe Captivate is an authoring program for creating dynamic learning media (e-learning materials). This program helps users to make software demonstrations, interactive simulations, quizzes etc. without any need for coding. It can also be used for creating podcasts and converting presentations into AVI or Flash.
The program was redesigned since version five and now has an intuitive user interface like all Adobe CS programs. It integrates collaborative workflows and built-in animation effects. Moreover, the Microsoft PowerPoint support allows users to edit previously made PPT presentations and export current creations to PPT. Other useful features include video embedding with controls, templates, style sheets and more.
In terms of recording voiced tutorials, Adobe Captivate enables users to capture the computer screen, and add audio using a microphone. In addition, there is a text-to-speech module: it converts text into high-quality speech so that you can improve recordings and keep end users focused on the contents. Finally, the resulting creations can be distributed as Power Point presentations, flash videos, PDFs, or dynamic multimedia files.
Adobe Captivate makes it possible to create interactive multimedia quickly, easily and without spending too much time. The new version of this product includes new tools, improved templates, MP4 video output option, YouTube publishing option, and extended video import support, plus new animation effects.
